The Morgan Hill History Trail
Experience Morgan Hill’s rich local heritage at an easy, self-guided pace as you explore a curated walking trail of historically significant landmarks that tell the story of the city’s growth from early settlement to modern community life. Featuring 10 walking stops (1-10) and 9 driving sports (11-19) beginning at the historic Votaw Building, this trail invites you to discover the people, places, and moments that shaped Morgan Hill—from its agricultural roots and railroad expansion to the civic and cultural development that followed throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

A collection of thoughtfully selected historic sites is spread throughout the walk, offering residents and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with the city’s evolving identity through architecture, public spaces, and preserved landmarks.
